Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the online scheduling and appointment-booking features made available by Johnson, Gasink & Baxter, LLP ("JGB," "we," "us," or "our") through our website, www.jgbllp.com. By using our online booking or self-scheduling tools, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use these features and instead contact our office directly to arrange an appointment.

These Terms supplement, and should be read together with, our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Your use of our booking tools is also subject to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

No Attorney-Client Relationship

Scheduling an appointment, submitting a booking request, or communicating with us through our online scheduling tools does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and JGB. No attorney-client relationship is formed until JGB has completed a conflict-of-interest check and you and JGB have signed a written engagement agreement defining the scope of representation.

Because no attorney-client relationship exists at the scheduling stage, you should not send us confidential, sensitive, or time-sensitive information through the booking form or any related communication. Please limit the information you provide to what is reasonably necessary to schedule your appointment, such as your name, contact information, and the general subject of your inquiry. Do not include detailed facts about your matter until an attorney-client relationship has been established in writing.

No Legal Advice

The information provided through our website and scheduling tools is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. Nothing you receive through the booking process, including confirmation messages, reminders, or downloadable materials, should be relied upon as legal advice or as a substitute for consultation with a licensed attorney regarding your specific circumstances.

Appointments and Cancellation

When you book an appointment through our scheduling tools, you agree to provide accurate and complete information. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we ask that you notify our office as soon as possible so that we may make the time available to others. We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel appointments as necessary and will make reasonable efforts to notify you if we do.

Third-Party Scheduling Services

Our online scheduling tools may be provided through a third-party service provider. Your use of those tools may also be subject to the third party's own terms and privacy practices. While we take reasonable steps to work with reputable providers, we are not responsible for the content, availability, or data practices of third-party platforms. Information you submit through a third-party scheduling tool is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and any applicable agreement between JGB and the provider.

Intellectual Property

The content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and materials made available through our scheduling tools, is the property of JGB or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without our express written permission, except as permitted by law.

Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

Our website and scheduling tools are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the tools will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, and we do not guarantee the accuracy or availability of any scheduling function. To the fullest extent permitted by law, JGB will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, our website or scheduling tools.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of our scheduling tools will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in [the City of Williamsburg / James City County], Virginia, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make changes, we will post the revised Terms on this page. Your continued use of our website and scheduling tools after any change constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. Please review this page periodically to stay informed.
